PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION OF SCRAP

As authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), CCIC Singapore handles and co-ordinates scrap survey for various countries in worldwide. All scrap cargo exported to China must be subjected to statutory inspection before being stuffed into containers and vessel holds and prepared for export. Our CCIC inspection report opens the gate for scrap cargoes to enter China.

CCIC is the specialized organization accredited by the Chinese Government to provide inspection services for recycled materials transported from various countries to China. Our trained and skilled technicians coupled with state-of-the-art equipment such as the Advanced Door-Typed Radiation Detection Instrument enhances our capabilities to fulfill the various service needs of our clients.

In line with this, the Pre-shipment Inspection services are carried out according to GB 16487 standard. Accredited by China Customs to offer pre-shipment inspection, we provide certification for used electrical/machinery appliance based on environmental protection and product description, thus facilitating customs clearance in China.

With reference to GB 16487, we offer environmental protection services on the below 13 types of imported solid wastes as raw materials:

1. Waste of bones
2. Smelt slag (Mill Scale)
3. Wood and wood articles waste
4. Waste and scrap of paper or paperboard (Recovered Paper)
5. Waste and scrap of fibers (Textile waste)
6. Waste and scrap of iron and steel (Ferrous scrap)
7. Non-Ferrous scrap
8. Waste electric motors
9. Waste wires and cables
10. Metal and electrical appliance scraps (Mixed Metal Scrap)
11. Vessels and other floating structures for breaking up
12. Waste and scrap of plastics
13. Compressed piece of scrap automobile (Plastic Scrap)

PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION OF USED MACHINERY

CCIC Singapore has been authorized by AQSIQ (the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of People’s Republic of China) to engage in pre-shipment inspection of used mechanical and electrical Products (referred to as used machinery) to be exported to China. The certificate and report issued by CCIC Singapore are the necessary documents when the applicant applies for importing procedure to local CIQ.

CCIC Singapore is well-equipped in terms of knowledge and experience in the business of exporting used machinery to China, including related laws and regulations, the China policy, safety and environmental protection, and inspection standards. True to our promise to provide customers with impartial, accurate and swift services, rest assured that we can help you to speed up the process of importing used machinery to China in compliance with the requirements of Chinese technical specifications and other related procedures.

Used mechanical and electrical products refer to one of the following:

1. Used mechanical and electrical products which have already been used, but products are still of basic function and value;
2. Used mechanical and electrical products which have not been used yet, but their expiry date has been over-due;
3. Used mechanical and electrical products which have not been used yet, but certain components have shown material loss;
4. Mechanical and electrical products assembled with new and old components
5. Large-scale full set of second-hand mechanical and electrical products
